Mackenzie is an associate Counselor at Root to Recovery LLC, and completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Gwynedd Mercy University. She is actively working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is currently EMDR trained from a EMDRIA approved program, EMDR Consulting.

With a warm, compassionate presence, Mackenzie is dedicated to supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges and experiences, including trauma, perinatal mental health, LGBTQ+ affirming care, anxiety, depression, and complex family dynamics.

Mackenzie takes an integrative, humanistic approach to counseling, tailoring each treatment plan to the unique needs of the individual or family. Her clinical work incorporates evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with art therapy, family systems, spiritually integrated therapy, and mindfulness/holistic wellness practices. She honors and supports clients who wish to integrate their spirituality, faith, or belief systems into the therapeutic process.

Mackenzie is especially passionate about helping individuals build confidence, embrace their identity, and express their needs in healthy, empowering ways. Her ultimate goal is to support clients in becoming the most authentic version of themselves.

Outside of her clinical work, Mackenzie enjoys volunteering with the Girl Scouts, meditating, running, aerial silks, playing ultimate frisbee, and creating art.
